Good morning, Burlington County. This is the week of Oct. 19, and it's a quieter week on the posted calendars: Moorestown's zoning board finalizes a backyard chicken coop and an HVAC storage garage, and the township's appearance committee looks at new light-pole banners for Camden Avenue. Most of the news is in last week's meetings, where Evesham held hearings on buying two properties for open space, Delran put a feral cat feeding ban on the books for first reading, Hainesport tabled its tree ordinance and Medford Lakes went on record against a state reassessment bill. Here are the meetings ahead and the decisions behind.

The agenda also included a donation to the police department, state grant applications and several contract awards. The Evesham Historical Society was honored for its 50th anniversary, and Brian Bunette, Michael Calabrese and Jeremy Crawford were recognized as civilian rescue honorees. Ordinance 734, a new chapter requiring a certificate of change in occupancy and ownership that folds fire, life safety and sewer inspections into one, had its second reading and public hearing. Resolution 86-26 put the borough on record opposing Senate Bill 4581 on annual reassessment programs, and the council marked Will Saraceni's retirement. Correspondence included DEP notices on final payments for dam projects. Recap

Delran Township Council (Oct. 13). Ordinance 2026-20, which would amend Chapter 80 of the township code to prohibit feeding feral cats on public and private property, was introduced.
