Four town meetings are on this week's calendar, from Monroe's zoning board tonight to Pitman's council Tuesday. Behind us: Clayton's water bond, more than $1 million in county grants and a 338-townhome plan in Monroe.
Good morning, Gloucester County. Here is what town governments have on the calendar this week and what they took up in the last one. Each item links to its County Brief meeting page, which has the posted agenda and a link to the official documents.
Meetings ahead
Monday, Oct. 12
Monroe Township Zoning Board of Adjustment, 6:30 p.m. The board is set to memorialize approvals for Lee Braddock III (lot coverage, rear and side yard, Res. #47-2026) and Rafael Medina (side yard, Res. #48-2026), and the adjournment of Kenneth Paul's application (Res. #49-2026). New applications include a use variance from David McCahill for an accessory structure, a lot-coverage variance from Anthony Spagno for a pool and deck, and a side-yard variance from Steven Benz for an addition and driveway extension. The board will also take up an amendment for 1085 NBHP LLC, which wants to expand the permitted uses of its property. Agenda
Tuesday, Oct. 13
Westville Borough Council (special meeting), 5 p.m. Two items. Resolution 131-2026 would reject every bid for the GAC Filter Pole Barn Installation Project as out of spec and over estimate. Resolution 132-2026 would authorize an emergency purchase to build the pole barn anyway, to keep the borough's GAC water filters from freezing this winter. Agenda
Franklin Township Committee. A public hearing on Ordinance O-17-26, which authorizes the sale of undersized township lots no longer needed for public use. Also listed: bond anticipation notes for capital improvements, disabled-veteran tax exemptions, appointments to township boards and commissions, and a raffle license for Our Lady of Mercy Academy. Agenda
Pitman Borough Council, 8 p.m. Council will introduce Ordinance No. 15, 2026, amending Chapter 7 (Vehicles and Traffic) of the borough code, with a public hearing set for Oct. 26. The consent agenda includes Resolution 172 (towing contract term), Resolution 173 (fire association membership applications) and Resolution 174, a curfew for Halloween. Creative Pitman's event permit for its Fall Harvest Dance is also up. Agenda
Wednesday, Oct. 14
Washington Township Council. The council's last two agendas list Oct. 14 as its next regular meeting. No agenda had been posted as of this weekend; check the Washington Township meetings page.
Looking ahead: the Washington Township Planning Board meets Oct. 20, and Woodbury's Planning and Zoning Board picks up the Mayis Properties subdivision and site plan for 263 Park Ave. on Oct. 22.
