Decisions behind
Pennsville: cannabis overlay zone, vehicle bond and taller sheds
Ordinance A-16-2026 was up for final adoption at the Oct. 15 committee meeting. It would create a Cannabis Overlay Zone made up of three overlay districts and allow Class 5 cannabis retail sales inside them. The township solicitor advised the committee not to move it to a vote. The Planning Board had not finished its review in the time the law allows, and the committee wants that board's input. Left without a vote, the ordinance is not adopted. The agenda notes that the committee expects to bring it back later.
The same agenda introduced Bond Ordinance A-19-2026. It would spend $400,000 on vehicles and equipment and borrow up to $380,952 of that through bonds or notes. Ordinance A-18-2026 was up for final adoption too. It raises the maximum height of accessory structures, such as garages and sheds, to 20 feet. Meeting details

Council also tabled Ordinance 26-22, the Gibbon Street handicapped parking change, and introduced Ordinance 26-23 for Hubbell Avenue in its place. Meeting details
